The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 was signed into law by President Obama on Feb. 17, 2009. The $787 billion stimulus package provided for unprecedented levels of transparency and accountability and offered a unique opportunity to strengthen our local economy, create jobs, and fund a variety of local and regional projects. In order to facilitate transparency to the public, County staff prepared a tracking sheet which reports on the ARRA funds that Napa County was awarded, either through enhancements to current funding or through the competitive application process. The County Executive Office and the Auditor-Controller collaborated to ensure that all reporting requirements of the ARRA were met and all relevant information was captured.
