Chairman Wagenknecht has plans for 2013
The newly elected Board chair briefly outlined his priorities at the Jan. 8 regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, including continuing joint meetings with other jurisdictions; recycled water; review of the elections division; gun violence; the Napa River flood project; trails; the HHSA campus; and the County's website. Planning, Building and Environmental Services will be CLOSED Jan. 18 and Jan. 29
Please note that our permitting and planning staff will be unavailable for two days in January: Friday, Jan. 18, and Tuesday, Jan. 29. We're remodeling the second floor of our Administration Building on Third Street in Napa to accommodate our new Permit Service Center. We'll update our lobby and move the Public Works staff to the first floor, too. Find out more on our website.
Napa Pipe hearing on Monday, Jan. 14
On Monday, Jan. 14, at 1:30 p.m., at the Napa Valley Opera House, the Board will hold a public hearing on Napa Pipe. Staff will ask the Board to adopt a resolution certifying the Final EIR; adopt a resolution adopting the CEQA findings,the Water Supply Assessment and the proposed General Plan amendment; give the first reading of a zoning ordinance; and give direction to staff regarding possible terms of agreement between the County and the City of Napa. New terms begin for Caldwell, Dodd, Luce
Supervisors Keith Caldwell, Bill Dodd and Mark Luce officially began their new four-year terms on Monday, Jan. 7, when they took the oath of office, administered by Napa Superior Court Judge Michael Williams. You can find out more about the Board of Supervisors on our website.
Roads plan for 2013
Our Roads division of Public Works has released its plans for resurfacing County roads in 2013, totaling 11.64 miles. Most of the work is in the Calistoga and south County areas. You can see the whole list here.
County offices will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day
Most County offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. Some 24-hour facilities, like the Jail and Juvenile Justice Center, will be open. Please call before visiting to ensure that the services you require will be available
