Moore Creek Park contains 673 acres of open space, protecting 3 miles of Moore Creek, a year-round stream that flows into Lake Hennessey. It will open with 5 miles of trails for hiking, mountain bicycling and horseback riding; 12 miles are ultimately planned. Access St HelenaTrenching work almost complete for this phase of Hwy 29 project
If you use Hwy 29 to travel into or near St. Helena, you soon will see an end to the traffic impacts associated with the trenching work to move the utilities underground (County, City of St. Helena and PG&E). After PG&E, Comcast and AT&T move their services underground, the utility poles will come down near the end of 2014. Finally, Caltrans will work to widen the entire stretch of Hwy 29 to three lanes, starting in 2015. Keep up with the work on the Access St Helena public/private outreach partnership Facebook page or website.
BlueprintsSubmitting plans just got easier and less expensive!
Big news from our Planning and Building folks: Now, for any building permit, the applicant must submit three (3) sets of plans, rather than eight, a significant cost savings! And comments on your submittal from each division now will be returned to you in ONE letter, rather than a letter from each division. Find out more about the streamlined submittal requirements on the Planning, Building & Environmental Services web pages.
