Coroner Case-C97-612 Found: 10/17/97 An unidentified male was found in the rural area of Mt. Veeder in Napa County. He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Evidence at the scene indicated he died in late 1980 to early 1981. Items recovered at the scene include: a “Ruger Bearcat” .22 cal. Revolver, a hand made heavy leather backpack (unknown manufacturer), a multicolored vest, blue sweatshirt, navy blue “Polo” brand pull over shirt (size-medium), “Levi” jeans, burgundy “New Balance” running shoes and aviator style gold rim sunglasses. There were also many personal items in the back pack (toothbrush, hairbrush, etc.). The gun was traced to the Phoenix, Arizona area. The other personal items were untraceable. Physical Description: White or Hispanic male, 33-45 years old, thin to medium build, 5’9” to 5’11” tall, possibly brown hair. The deceased had gold fillings in his teeth.
