Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
Because domestic violence is a crime involving a partner, spouse, or significant other, a variety of feelings may be experienced, including shock, denial, hurt, anger, hopelessness and/or fear.Many of these same feelings are experienced by a victim who has been raped or sexually abused.
Victim/Witness Assistance can provide information about the criminal justice system, and the status of a specific case. Referrals to confidential programs and crime prevention information is also available.
