Library commission meetings are held on the first Thursday every other month at 5:00 p.m. except the when in Calistoga which is held at 4:00 p.m.  The meeting location and agenda are published 3 days prior to the meeting, and are available in each of the Napa County libraries. A Special Meeting is scheduled for March 16th at the American Canyon Library

Don't let kids have all the fun! Come to the Library and spend a couple of hours reconnecting with your community and your creative spirit. We will supply a variety of materials for you to explore and use in crafting different paper items; every month we will have something new to try. Poetry slam is the competitive art of performance poetry. It puts a dual emphasis on writing and performance, encouraging poets to focus on what they're saying and how they are saying it. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?  RulesPoems can be on anything and in any style, but you can only perform one poem per turnYou can only perform your own, original workNO PROPS (Hats, musical instruments, costumes, prerecorded music, etc.)Sampling is fine as long as it’s not a complete rip offThere will be a max of 3 minutes and 10 seconds to perform, for every extra 10 seconds you go over, half a point is deducted.Interacting verbally and physically with the audience is OK.If any rules are violated, the emcee decides whether it results in a disqualification or point deduction. Teen programs are for ages 11-18.
