Universal Perinatal Home Visiting Program ("Welcome Every Baby")

We believe that the journey through pregnancy, birth and the first years of your baby’s life are very special. Learning the baby’s ways of communicating, forming a strong attachment to your baby and learning to parent is so important. This is an incredibly exciting time in the development of your family. Napa’s providers are dedicated to being a strong network of support for you and your family.

After many years of dedication and community collaboration we are honored to use as our theoretical framework Dr. T. Berry Brazelton’s Touch Points philosophy, which is based on more than 30 years of research.

Program participants will receive:

• Up to ten home visits with the same nurse home visitor in the first year of your baby’s life.
• The opportunity to learn in the context of a supportive relationship
• Guidance in learning about your baby’s growth and development
• Information about attachment and “falling-in-love” with your baby
• Support for your feeding choice
• Specialized information about breastfeeding
• Information about infant safety, immunizations, and the special capacities and language of your newborn
• Other questions or concerns you may have

Program participants should be in their first 12 weeks of your pregnancy or in the first 6 weeks after you had your baby.
