In recognition of the ongoing global, national and state economic and financial crises, in August 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved a Fiscal Contingency Plan for FY 2008-2009 and beyond, outlining the principles to be followed and possible steps to be taken to address a General Fund structural imbalance.
