Friends of the Napa Library
The group was organized in 1969 to support the Napa Main Library. Over the years, membership has grown to more than 1,000 members, including individuals, families and businesses.
The Friends organization is focused on helping the Library in many ways:
By raising funds, primarily through used book sales each year, to help the Napa Library purchase needed items, such as furniture, computers, and materials for the collection, and to sponsor programs for children
By assisting the Library in hosting special events
By maintaining an association of persons interested in libraries, focusing public attention on the library and demonstrating political support on library issues
By supporting and cooperating with the Library in developing library services and facilities for the community
By supporting the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights and the Freedom to Read Statement

Mission
Our mission is to support the library through financial contributions to expand and improve library resources, to encourage use of the library resources by all segments of the community and to provide support through the volunteer services of our members.
Goals
To maintain an association of persons interested in the library
To focus public attention on the library
To stimulate the community's awareness and use of the library's resources and services
To seek the community's input regarding their needs
To raise funds and encourage gifts of endowments and bequests for the benefit of the library
To support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community
To support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights
Meetings
The American Canyon Friends meet the third Thursday of every month (except December) from 7 p.m. -8 p.m. at the American Canyon Library.

The Friends of the Calistoga Library group was organized in 1978 to support the Calistoga Library. Over the years, the membership has grown to nearly 100 members, consisting of individuals, families and businesses.

The Friends of the Yountville Library group was organized in 1987 to support the Yountville Main Library. Over the years, the membership has grown to nearly 50 members, consisting of individuals, families and businesses.

- By assisting the Library in hosting special events,

- By supporting and cooperating with the Library in developing library services and facilities for the community,
