WHACK the Flu: Health Education for Flu Prevention

What's the goal of WHACK the Flu? To lower school absences by increasing good hygiene skills to stop the spread of illnesses caused by coughing and sneezing, like the flu.  The Napa County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program can work with your school or after school program targeting children in grades K-3.  Call (707) 253-4773 to learn more about "training-the-trainers" to build organizational capacity to WHACK the Flu!

  • The video follows two students that get sick and miss school.
 
  • Later they talk about everyday habits to prevent getting sick.

     
 
  •  Using special glasses they are transported to the germ world!

  • In their world, the germs talk about what they like to do best:
