Aero Squadron
The squadron members offer their time and aircraft to local law enforcement agencies free of charge. The members maintain a regular training schedule including practice air search and rescue missions.

Bomb Squad
The Napa County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Devices Team, often referred to as EOD, responds to incidences concerning explosives and post blast investigations.

Dive Team
The Sheriff’s Office Underwater Search and Recovery Team (Dive Team) is a public safety diving organization.

K-9 Units
The program consists of several canine units.

Off-Road Enforcement Team
The Off-Road Enforcement Team comprises 9 Sheriff's Office personnel who patrol the rural public lands of Napa County on an overtime basis.

Posse
Organized in 1949, the Napa County Sheriff's Mounted Posse has Historically distinguished itself with a half a century of service to the community and is the oldest working posse in the State of California.

Problem-Oriented Policing Program (POPP)
The mission of the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Problem Oriented Policing Program (POPP) is to employ non-traditional police methods.

Firearms Training Unit
Individuals in this program are responsible for ensuring that all members of the department receive monthly training in the use of deadly force.

SWAT
The Sheriff Department’s SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team is utilized in critical incidents to minimize dangers to the public, employees and suspects.

Search & Rescue
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) Unit provides search and rescue services to all areas of the county.
