The K-9 program has several K-9 teams. Some are assigned to patrol the unincorporated areas and some are assigned to the City of American Canyon. Each deputy and their canine must successfully complete a certification course before working on patrol. The canine units also conducts continual in-service training. Our canine units are utilized for building searches, person tracking, narcotics location as well as other duties.
