THE PROBATION DEPARTMENT IS OPEN
The Adult Division is open and accepting individuals sent over by the Court without appointments as walk-ins. Probation Officers continue to schedule appointments and meet with clients. Appointments are necessary to accommodate social distancing. Probation staff are complying with health and safety guidelines set forth by the Public Health Officer and clients visiting the office are expected to follow these guidelines as well. If you are seeking general information regarding the Probation Department, Juvenile Hall, New Horizons Academy, please call one of the offices listed below. We are requesting you call before you come in person to one of our facilities. Individuals on probation may still contact their assigned Deputy Probation Officer by telephone.

Responsibilities
The Probation Department operates adult and juvenile Court-related services in the areas of investigation and supervision. When probation is granted, the Department is responsible for the supervision of the probationer and enforcement of the conditions and terms of probation. The Department is also responsible for the overall operation of the County’s Juvenile Hall, which provides custody, counseling, medical care and guidance of delinquent and custodial children in a variety of short- and medium-term programs.
