Prevention

Our goal is to provide prevention services that reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug abuse on our youth, families, schools, and communities. School-based services in partnership with Aldea Children and Family Services are offered at 13 local middle schools and high schools.

Friday Night Live

Mentoring

  • Youth mentoring program pilot at two sites (one middle and one high school location)
  • Peer-based program where high school age youth are mentors to middle school aged youth called protégés
  • Mentors facilitate a youth led and youth driven ATOD prevention-focused mentoring program

Youth Council

  • Group of youth who identify youth-related prevention issues in their community and act as peer educators and advocates to drive youth led activities
  • Take part in trainings that build knowledge, skills, and the capacity for young people to lead prevention campaigns
