Specialized Services

The Probation Department has established several specialized caseloads that include selected drug / alcohol offenders, gang violence offenders, sex offenders, post release community supervision, victim restitution, offenders ordered to complete residential treatment and / or Drug Court, drug offenders ordered by the court to participate in the Proposition 36 / STOP Program, and probationers with mental health issues.

Domestic violence offenders are also supervised closely to increase accountability and community / victim protection by providing some of the unique services and treatment these individuals require. Another specialized and very limited caseload involves the supervision of a limited number of drug offenders in cooperation with other local law enforcement. Offenders are seen in the office at least monthly and may be visited in the community unannounced.
