Agricultural Commissioner's Office
The Napa County Agricultural Commissioner and staff are responsible for the implementation of federal, State and local regulatory programs within Napa County. These programs are designed to protect people and the environment and to promote agriculture within the county.

Assessor
Some of the duties of the department include property tax assessment and parcel map maintenance. The Assessor provides information to the public regarding property tax, document recording and other related issues.

Auditor-Controller
The Auditor-Controller is the elected chief financial officer of the County, responsible for maintaining the accounts of County government in addition to other responsibilities.

Board of Supervisors
The legislative body elected to represent the five districts of Napa County.

Child Support Services
The Napa County Department of Child Support Services (CSS) is the Local Child Support Agency (LCSA) responsible for establishing and/or enforcing child support court orders.

Clerk of the Board
The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors provides support to the Board of Supervisors and information to the public.

Corrections
The Department of Corrections is responsible for the coordination of all programs and services related to the institutional care, treatment and rehabilitation of inmates, including: Classification, Diagnosis, Intake screening, and Programs that deal with sentencing alternatives.

County Counsel
The mission of the County Counsel is dedication to providing highest-quality legal service to the County and other public agencies in a manner that promotes Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Stewardship.

County Fire Department

District Attorney
The District Attorney's (DA) office reviews and prosecutes criminal violations committed in Napa County, on behalf of the State of California.

Elections
The Election Division processes candidate nominations, statements and reporting.

Health & Human Services
Health and Human Services offers child welfare, alcohol and drug, comprehensive, older adult, mental health, public health, and homeless services.

Housing and Homeless Services
The Housing & Homeless Services Division coordinates County initiatives and activities with the cities and other jurisdictions within the County. Housing & Homeless Services oversees the County’s housing programs and provides staff to the Board of Supervisors, including constituent relations and community liaison activities.

Human Resources serves current employees, retirees and people seeking employment with Napa County.

Library
The Napa County Library enriches lives with books and information.

Planning, Building & Environmental Services
PBES issues permits, performs inspections, and performs consulting for various entities in the County of Napa via it's sub-divisions: Planning, Building & Development, Environmental Health, Conservation, Engineering, and Parks & Open Space.

Probation
The Probation Department operates adult and juvenile Court-related services in the areas of investigation and supervision. When probation is granted, the Department is responsible for the supervision of the probationer and enforcement of the conditions and terms of probation.

Public Defender
The Public Defender’s office provides legal representation for adults and juveniles who are charged with criminal offenses and are unable to hire private counsel.

Public Works
The Department of Public Works is dedicated to sustaining health, safety, quality of life and protection of natural resources by providing and maintaining public facilities and services in partnership with the community and other public agencies for current and future residents, workers, animals, and visitors of Napa County.

Recorder / County Clerk
The County Clerk/Recorder staff are responsible for the official recording, filing and preserving of all vital documents in the County.

Sheriff
Sheriff Administration staff are responsible for a range of duties, foremost public protection and safety.

Treasurer - Tax Collector

University of California Cooperative Extension
The Cooperative Extension is part of the national Land Grant system, where selected public institutions of higher learning are charged with providing practical education to the general public through various outreach efforts. Our collaboration with Napa County and the Agricultural Commissioner's Office is one of those outreach efforts.
