Permits and Certificates
The County of Napa issues a variety of permits, licenses and certificates. Permits and licenses are also issued by the Cities, Towns, State of California and other public agencies. The information pertains to permits and licenses issued by the County for activities within the County limits, except where noted.

Online Permit Center
View information related to permits and applications, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from all divisions within the Planning, Building and Environmental Services Department and the Department of Public Works.

Building Permits
The Building Division is responsible for managing the construction permitting process. This process includes general public information, plan submittal, plan review, permit issuance, inspection and document retention. The Building Division is also charged with the task of assuring that all additional approvals required by both inside and outside entities are obtained prior to the issuance of both a building permit and receiving final inspection approval.

CalAgPermits
CalAgPermits is a free, web-based, pesticide permitting program created to simplify the permit and pesticide reporting process. As a CalAgPermits Web-User you are able to view information about your permit, historical data related to your Pesticide Use Reports (PUR) and submit PURs and Notices of Intent (NOI) online. These go directly to the Napa County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office. PURs must be submitted by the 10th of each month.

Information on burn pile requirements and the steps to take if you choose to burn. A notification form must be submitted to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) and a notification to CalFire.
