Motor Oil

Why Recycle Your Oil and Filter?

  • Motor oil doesn’t wear out—it just gets dirty—recycling it saves a valuable resource.
  • The used oil from just one oil change can contaminate one million gallons of fresh water – recycling keeps this potentially harmful substance out of our rivers, streams and groundwater.
  • One gallon of used motor oil provides the same 2.5 quarts of oil as 42 gallons of crude oil.
  • Even well-drained filters can hold up to a quart of oil and contain scrap metal that can be reused.
  • It’s easy, free and convenient to recycle wherever you live in Napa County.
