  • Crack and Seat existing concrete
  • Cold mill connector taxiway (Taxiway H) for connection
  • Place new asphalt pavement and shoulder base
  • Apply new pavement markings
  • Runway and taxiway light adjustments
  • Airfield guidance sign improvements

Work Done

  • Cracked and Seated existing concrete
  • Reconstructed blast pad and 300 feet of Runway 6-24
  • Cold milled connector taxiways for transition
  • Placed new asphalt pavement and should base
  • Applied new pavement markings
  • Reconstruct MALS threshold bar
  • Runway and taxiway light adjustments
  • Airfield guidance sign improvements

PHASE 2 of 6: Completed

Work Done

  • Striping/marking removal of Runway 18R/36L
  • Relocation of 36L threshold for the temporary shortening of runway to 4,146 feet
  • FAA Flight check of Runway 18R/36L on April 12th
  • Night closure on April 12th, included night work to prepare runway 18R/36L for the temporary shortening
  • Opened 18R/36L in its shortened condition and closed runway 6/24 on April 15th

Work Done

  • Installation of sub drain pipes adjacent to both side of 18R/36L
  • Repaired a failing section of asphalt on Taxiway K
  • Repaired 4 buckling concrete slabs on 18R/36L
