The Department of Water Resources has categorized and prioritized the Napa Valley Subbasin as one of 46 high priority basins statewide. It is therefore subject to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.
The Napa County Groundwater Sustainability Agency meets once a month. The Napa County Groundwater Sustainability Plan Advisory Committee meets once a month to assist the Agency with developing the Groundwater Sustainability Plan.
