Project Scope

The project is located at 212 Walnut Street, Napa, CA. The work generally consists of but is not limited to, all labor and materials for the demolition and installation of domestic hot water heaters, tanks, thermostatic mixing valve and associated water piping, natural gas piping, condensate drain, exhaust flue, power, control wiring at the Juvenile Justice Center. The replacement water heaters will be tankless. A temporary outdoor boiler is required during construction for continued domestic hot water system operation.   Water shutoff may only occur between the hours of 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

Contract

Each bidder must be licensed as required by law.  Contractor shall possess a Class A, B, or C-4 License at the time of contract award.  The Engineer's estimate is $640,000.

The bid opening was September 29, 2022 at 11:30 AM. The sublists have been posted. The project was awarded by the Board of Supervisors on October 18, 2022 to Bayview Engineering and Construction Co., Inc. of El Dorado  Hills, CA for their low base bid of $471,037.
