Project Scope

The proposed project will consist of replacing existing guardrails at 27 locations over an 11-mile stretch on Silverado Trail between MM 0.00 and MM 11.00. Project work includes post removal, beam detachment from bridge walls, and installation of height compliant post and beam guardrail systems. All work will occur within existing County right of way.

Contractor shall possess a Class A, C-13 or C-32 license at the time of contract award. Engineer estimate: $450,000.

The bid opening was Thursday, October 27. The project is under Evaluation/Review. The sublists for the three lowest bidders have been posted. The project was awarded on November 8, 2022 by the Board of Supervisors to Midstate Barrier, Inc. of Stockton, CA for their low base bid of $458,200.
