Interested in running for county or statewide office and live in Napa County? Potential candidates should email [email protected] to find out how to file campaign finance documents. Please include a copy of the Candidate Preliminary Information form. Other candidate materials will not be available until closer to the filing deadline. Please review this list of important dates and check back for updates.
Municipal, school district and special district governing board seats are not available for filing until July 2022. For municipal offices, please check with the appropriate municipal clerk in May 2022. For school board and special district offices, please check with [email protected] in May 2022.
**Please note, Napa County Supervisor districts 1 and 3, House of Representative, State Assembly, State Senate and State Board of Equalization district boundaries will not be finalized until after the redistricting process is completed in February 2022. Changes to district boundaries will impact which office you are seeking depending on your current residential address. Vote By Mail

As part of the Voter's Choice Act, ballots are automatically mailed all to active, registered Napa County voters; a separate mail ballot request is not necessary. For more information on the Voter's Choice Act, check out this page.

Same-Day Voter Registration
You must be registered to vote 15 days before Election Day to receive a ballot in the mail. Once the deadline has passed, you can still register and vote in the election. Any Napa County voter can request election material in Spanish for this election and all future elections.
