At Napa County Health & Human Services Agency career services are available to anyone receiving or applying for public assistance. Career services are provided through the Self Sufficiency Division in the career center located conveniently across the hall from Public Assistance, in building A-106.
CalFresh, General Assistance, Medi-Cal, and CalWORKs customers using the career center can access basic career services. Basic Career Services are self-serve and include access to job leads, use of the computer lab for job search, access to referrals for training, and career development workshops. Additionally, customers who are enrolled in Welfare-to-Work or CalFresh Employment & Training receive comprehensive career services and 1:1 assistance from an Employment Services Worker.
Comprehensive Career Services include on-the-job training, subsidized and transitional employment, resume assistance, career coaching, job placement, and access to the career closet for interview attire. Veterans who are enrolled in the above programs have the opportunity to access financial assistance to pay for vocational training.
