Escrow & Liens
Escrow companies play a critical role in the collection of child support. Child Support agencies throughout California are required to file liens and abstracts of judgment in all cases, where there is an active child support obligation. When the support obligor purchases, sells or refinances real estate, these abstracts and liens ensure the obligor's support obligation takes precedence, and their children benefit in some manner from the transaction.
Assistance
For assistance with a Lien and/or Abstract of Judgment, here’s what we’ll need to get started:
- An Authorization For Release Of Information Form (PDF), completed and signed by the obligor.
- A Demand Letter that includes the contact information of the Escrow Officer and lien pay off date, if applicable.
- A copy of the Lien or Abstract of Judgment OR Lien description: including court, case number, debtor, social security number, date of birth, recording date and book number.
Fax forms to 707-253-6041 or you may scan the forms and email them to our office via email.
Request Completion Goal
Our goal is to complete your request within 3 business days from the receipt of all required documentation. Please know that before we can provide information or discuss any case or account details, we must have the Authorization for Release of Information Form on file.
Make payments payable to and by mail:
