[ARCHIVED] Hair Salons and Barber Shops May Re-Open in Napa County with Modifications

The California Department of Public Health has released guidance for reopening Hair Salons and Barber Shops for limited services. Services that require touching a client’s face remain prohibited at this time.

Hair salons and barber shops may begin reopening in Napa County with strict adherence to the State’s guidance.

The guidance document includes protocols for physical distancing, health and sanitation, and wearing face coverings during the entirety of services.

The document is now posted on the County’s Industry Guidance web page. Scroll Down to "Hair Salons and Barber Shops."

Businesses must also post a Social Distancing Protocol that can be found here.

Nail salons, massage parlors, aestheticians and cosmetology, ear piercing salons, and tattoo parlors are not permitted to operate in the State of California at this time. These activities will likely be included in Stage 3 and subject to further guidance from the State of California.
