[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Second Vaccination Dose Update for the Week of February 8, 2021

We are pleased to announce that all those scheduled to receive their second vaccine dose the week of February 8, 2021 through either St. Helena Hospital or Napa County Public Health will be able to do so. Both entities have received enough vaccines for this week. This means that second dose prioritization measures will not be necessary for clinics taking place this week.

By combining St. Helena Hospital’s Multi-County Entity doses with Napa County Public Health’s doses, there will be enough for the original second doses coming due this week. This includes those in Phase 1a and Phase 1b who received their first dose of the vaccine during the week of January 11, 2021.

For those scheduled to receive their second dose from either St. Helena Hospital or Napa County Public Health during the week of February 15th, the tentative plan remains to prioritize health care workers and those age 75 and over.

We continue to closely monitor vaccine supply coming into the County, and will only need to prioritize the Phase 1a/age 75+ subset if vaccine supply by the end of this coming week remains insufficient. While the supply chain remains unstable, we continue to advocate for vaccine for Napa County, and we remain hopeful we can provide second doses to everyone who is due the week of February 15th as well.
