UPDATED SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 GUBERNATORIAL RECALL ELECTION RESULTS

Napa County released its first unofficial post-election night report at 3:30 p.m. Friday September 17, 2021 with 40,332 ballots counted.  “This first post-election night report contains approximately 70% of our projected overall turnout,” commented Napa County Registrar of Voters John Tuteur.  Results are available on the county website

As of 3:30 p.m. Friday September 17, 2021 the Napa County Election Division estimates that there are still 17,250 ballots to be counted which would represent a 68% projected overall turnout of all registered voters.   

The remaining uncounted ballots include ballots ready to be counted, military and overseas ballots (approximately 450); same day registration ballots (approximately 184); damaged ballots that need to be duplicated (approximately 700); provisional ballots (approximately 17); ballots postmarked on Election Day Tuesday September 14, 2021 which can be received until Tuesday September 21, 2021 and ballots that were challenged for no signature or mismatched signature on the return envelope (approximately 400) which can be corrected up until Monday September 27, 2021.   

All processes including counting, duplicating and manual tally can be observed by members of the public at the Election Division, 1127 1st St. Ste E Napa CA during regular business hours.  Observers are required to follow pandemic protocols including wearing face coverings.
