Napa County Public Health is issuing a health advisory for two (2) tributaries east of Silverado Trail in North Napa County including:
- Bell Creek downstream from the 600 block of Crystal Springs Road
- Canyon Creek downstream of the convergence of Canyon Creek and Bell Creek
This health advisory is in response to a discharge or potential discharge of sewage which was reported to the County on Tuesday morning. The public is advised to avoid contact with the water in the affected area. Napa County Department of Planning, Building and Environmental is coordinating with our partnering agencies and impacted property owners to resolve the sewage leak off Sanitarium Road.
Municipal water sources are not affected by this advisory, including Bell Canyon Reservoir. Should you or your pets come in contact with an impacted creek or river water, wash any affected area thoroughly with soap and water and monitor for signs of illness. Further notifications, including lifting of the advisory, will be issued as necessary.
