Napa County will release its first unofficial post-election night report at 4:00 p.m. Friday June 10, 2022. Election results are available on the Election Results web page.
“I am surprised and pleased at the number of voters who waited until the final days to cast their ballot,” commented Napa County Registrar of Voters John Tuteur. “It appears that our Final Unofficial Election Night Results on Tuesday June 7, 2022 contained less than 40% of all ballots cast which means that turnout could exceed 40% for this election.”
As of noon Thursday June 9, 2022 the Napa County Election Division estimates that there are still more than 22,000 ballots to be counted which would represent a 44% projected overall turnout of all registered voters. The remaining uncounted ballots include ballots ready to be counted 13,000; ballots needing signature verification 8,000; same day registration ballots (approximately 41); damaged ballots that need to be duplicated (approximately 1800); provisional ballots (approximately 5). Added to this total would be ballots postmarked on Election Day Tuesday June 7, 2022, which can be received until Tuesday June 14, 2022, and ballots that were challenged for no signature or mismatched signature on the return envelope (approximately 1100) which can be corrected up until Friday June 24, 2022.
All processes including counting, duplicating and manual tally can be observed by members of the public at the Election Division, 1127 1st St. Suite E, Napa CA during regular business hours.
