Release of Napa County CEO

The Board of Supervisors has unanimously voted to release CEO Minh Tran from employment with the County. Representing the Board’s decision, Chair Gregory said, “Mr. Tran has been expressing interest in transitioning out for some time, and his commitment to the CEO role was uncertain to us. After a thorough deliberation, we decided it is in the County’s best interest to start that transition now.” This is a no-cause separation and Mr. Tran is eligible for severance with a release, which has yet to be signed. Assistant CEO Rebecca Craig will take on the role of Acting CEO. The Board and County staff will support her as much as possible to ensure that County operations continue to run without interruption. Details about other interim leadership needs as well as future recruitment of permanent replacement including process and timeline will be forthcoming.
