"Hi-Lo" Siren - New Way to Alert Public of Emergencies

The purpose of the Hi-Lo Siren is to “alert” the public of an emergency in the area. This European Siren produces an “unfamiliar sound,” however it has a major role throughout Napa County and its neighboring counties.  This plan was developed by Napa County Sheriff, John Robertson. So far, Sonoma, Solano and Lake County Sheriff’s Offices have joined Napa County Sheriff’s Office, by implementing the Hi-Lo Siren for emergency alerts.

When you hear this siren, it’s extremely important to seek information from reliable news sources on television, radio and social media.

The Hi-Lo siren will be used for multiple emergencies, including wildfires, earthquakes and floods.
