[ARCHIVED] Karen Taylor appointed to the position of Director of Human Resources

(NAPA, California) Napa County has appointed Karen Taylor to the position of Director of Human Resources. The appointment is effective today, Monday April 29, 2019.  

“After an extensive search, I am pleased to appoint Karen Taylor as the County’s Director of Human Resources. Through this recruitment, the internal candidate rose to the top, a testament to the organization’s ability to develop and maintain talent.  This position is critical to County operations and I am particularly impressed with Ms. Taylor’s ability to forge relationships internally and externally, and to understand the complexities of local government employment and best practices in human resources,” said Minh Tran, County Executive Officer.  

Ms. Taylor began her career in Napa County in 1999. She has served in a variety of human resources related roles, including as the Interim Director of Human Resources on two occasions. She was appointed Assistant Director of Human Resources in January 2016 and has managed the County’s labor and employee relations program since 2010. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is a Certified Human Resources professional.

“I am honored to be selected to serve as Napa County’s Director of Human Resources,” said Karen Taylor, “as a long time Napa County employee, I am thrilled to assume this new role and ensure the County continues to have a high quality workforce serving the Napa County community.”
